The part that supports the engine in the auto's body is the engine mount, and its functions are as follows:
- It supports the engine gently by interrupting various vibrations arising from the engine and preventing the vibrations from passing to the auto body.
- It supports the engine firmly by ensuring that the engine does not swing around and interfere with parts of the auto body or produce a shake feeling.
These are contradictory requirements, but we incorporate various technologies to achieve them both at high levels and thus contribute greatly to the quietness and comfortable ride of an auto.

*1:It switches the fluid orifice and establishes optimum characteristics when the auto is idle and when it is running, respectively.
